DIJKOT:

Wheat, cloth, dowry items and transformers were burnt to ashes in seven fires across the district. Rescue teams reached the locations and put out the fires.

According to details, the first blaze was caused by a short circuit in the wires passing over a shop in Mohammadi Market. The clothes in the shop were completely burnt.

Similarly, a fire broke out in the Qari's room of Jamia Masjid Darbar on Bauwala Jhang Road, due to a short circuit. The fire engulfed dowry items inside the room and completely destroyed them. Rescue teams reached the spot and extinguished the fire.

Meanwhile, a WAPDA transformer was burnt on Salimi Chowk Maqbool Road. Flames emanating from wires colliding with each other due to strong winds caused the fire to engulf the transformer.

Separately, a fire broke out at Maqsood Collection Center in Anarkali Bazaar Street No. 5 due to a short circuit. As a result, the wood and items lying in the shop were gutted.
