‘BTS’ V is the fastest person to reach 40m followers on Instagram

Band member Kim Taehyung achieved a record in just 135 days of his social media debut

BTS’ popularity knows no bounds! The sensational South Korean boy band BTS’ member Kim Taehyung aka V achieved a new milestone of popularity as he crossed a whopping count of 40 million followers on Instagram in just 135 days of joining the picture-sharing app.

Making history, the Butter crooner officially became the fastest person to surpass a huge number on the platform within limited days. The 26-year-old’s Instagram so far holds 46 shared posts and he currently follows seven accounts of fellow BTS members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin and Jungkook and BTS’ official account.

V made his Instagram debut with fellow BTS members last December and is the only person amongst all to have successfully crossed the 40 million benchmark on the platform within 135 days.

BTS’ fans, known as it’s ARMY, took to their social media handles to celebrate the milestone. The hashtag #THV40MILLION was trending on Twitter as fans showered the singer with congratulatory messages. “Cheers to all the records this man keeps hitting! congratulations Taehyung. RECORD SETTER THV,”a fan tweeted.

“People are drawn to you because of who you are. Beautiful both inside and outside! Congratulations on 40 million followers Taehyung!" another fan added.

Meanwhile, on the work front, V recently returned to South Korea with his fellow BTS members after successfully wrapping their four-day concert, Permission To Dance On Stage In Las Vegas.
