Pakistan is looking forward to further enhancing bilateral cooperation with China in various fields, said Federal Minister for Finance Miftah Ismail.
During a meeting with Chinese embassy Charge d’affaires Pangchunxue at the Finance Division, Ismail highlighted the role of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). “The corridor will play an important role in taking Pakistan’s economy forward as well as cementing the bilateral relationship between the two countries,” he said.
The minister assured the envoy of his full support in that regard, the statement added.
Speaking on the occasion, Pangchunxue extended all-out support and cooperation of the Chinese government in developing the Special Economic Zones as part of CPEC.
She acknowledged the efforts of Pakistan’s government in facilitating Chinese companies in various projects in Pakistan.
Minister of State for Finance Dr Aisha Ghaus Pasha was also present in the meeting, according to the statement.
