While the Pakistani political scenario has been nothing short of a ruckus over the last few weeks, several celebrities have taken to social media and expressed their allegiance to former Prime Minister Imran Khan. The likes of Syra Yousuf, Sarwat Gillani and Feroze Khan among others, stepped out and took it to the streets to extend support to the PTI chairman.
However, one artist has been missing, quite prominently, from the ongoing political hoo-ha. Hamza Ali Abbasi, who has always been a staunch supporter of PTI, has been eerily quiet regarding the former premier's ouster. And no, it hasn't gone unnoticed by the fans.
Taking to Twitter, a tweep shared pictures of Abbasi from PTI's old rallies with an emotional line.

Many shared he was missed as PTI once again begins campaigning. "You all dragged him so much for having political opinions that he completely disappeared from the political scene."

In a 2018 interview with The Express Tribune, Abbasi had shared he was a 'very political person.'
"I am a very political person," the Parwaaz Hai Junoon actor commented. "It is shameful if you are not political in a country such as Pakistan. If you are treated unjustly, you should raise your voice against it. You should stand up for the issues that affect you so you can solve them, which is what politics and activism are about."
He had added, "I have been vocal from the very beginning. For me, charity is a temporary solution. The permanent solution is always, always politics! I didn’t have to make an effort for a talk show – it comes very naturally to me. People often ask me how long I prepare for the show and I tell them that I don’t prepare at all! I am normally quite updated. Politics is not a different thing that I am doing; it is a part of my life."
However, last year, he shared he wasn't sure if he would vote for PTI in the upcoming elections. Responding to a tweep, who asked whether he'd vote for PTI given the inflation, Abbasi said, "I am also evaluating their performance and will see by the end of their term whether I should vote for them or not. For now, it is 50/50. Some things are very good like the foreign policy but other things are not so good like inflation and mehngaayee. Let's see only years to go."
