KARACHI:

More than 350 employees of Sindh Government Children Hospital, North Nazimabad Karachi staged a protest on Sunday over the non-payment of salaries for nine months.

Owing to the strike at Children's Hospitals, work pressure increased at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and the National Institute of Child Health (NICH).

The hospital is managed by Poverty Eradication Initiative (PEI). The protesting employees told the media that employees are deprived of their salaries for the last nine months. The Sindh government has not been providing a budget to the PEI for more than a year now.
