Acting CCPO hails law and order on Easter
Acting Capital City Police Officer Shehzada Sultan lauded the performance of Lahore police to ensure foolproof security arrangements on Easter Sunday.
DIG Sultan felicitated the whole Christian community, including all the Christian police officials, on the holiday.
The acting CCPO acknowledged the efforts of all wings of Lahore police, including Traffic Police, Dolphin Squad and Police Response Unit (PRU), for devising the best strategy and plan of action to stop antisocial elements from disturbing the peace and maintaining law and order within the city.
More than 2,000 police officers were deployed, including six SSPs, 35 SDPOs, 83 SHOs, 143 upper subordinates and 143 women police personnel. The acting CCPO directed senior police officers and all divisional SPs to remain in the field and ensure implementation of the security plan. Special contingents of Dolphin Squad and PRU were deployed to secure and patrols churches, Christian colonies, parks, markets and other public places.
Due to the stringent security arrangements, no untoward incident was reported in the city and the situation remained in control, police officials said.
