Police recover 16 motorcycles, two cars

The Anti-Car Lifting Cell of the Mansehra police arrested an inter-provincial car lifters’ gang and recovered 16 motorcycles and two cars worth millions of rupees during a major operation.

District Police Officer (DPO) Sajjad Khan told the media in the press conference that Khalid Aurangzeb, a resident of Jalalabad, was arrested and an investigation revealed that the vehicles were stolen and sold from different areas of the Mansehra, Abbottabad, and Haripur districts. The accused would steal vehicles from one district and sell them in another, he added.

The official said that 16 motorcycles and two cars were seized from his possession. Further revelations are also expected from the accused, and an inquiry is underway. He handed over the keys of the recovered vehicles to the owners at the end of the press conference.

DPO Khan had taken notice of several stolen vehicles around Mansehra district during the last few months and issued orders to arrest the unknown accused involved in the crime.
