Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are all set to tie the knot this week as preparations for their impending nuptials are in full swing! According to several Indian publications, the couple's wedding festivities will commence tomorrow with a Mehendi. As we move closer to the big day, which is touted to be April 14, details about Alia and Ranbir's upcoming nuptials are revealed.
The recent buzz is that the couple will wear celebrated Indian designer Sabyasachi for their events and from the looks of it, it very well might be true. According to a report in ETimes, they have opted for pastel shades for the occasion. Not just Sabyasachi, the report claimed that Alia is also planning to wear outfits by Manish Malhotra during her wedding festivities.
Recently, huge bags and coat stands of outfits were brought into Ranbir's Bandra home Vastu, which is also reported to be the wedding venue!
Alia's uncle Robin Bhatt had recently confirmed that she will get married to Ranbir at his home on April 14. Robin also said that there is a Mehendi ceremony scheduled a day before. Meanwhile, wedding preparations are underway at Vastu, where decorators arrived on Monday. Kapoor family's RK Studios has also been decked up in lights ahead of the wedding.
Earlier, filmmaker Subash Ghai recently recalled that he had a conversation with Rishi Kapoor about Ranbir and Alia's wedding, which was being planned in a grand manner for December 2020. However, Rishi Kapoor died due to cancer on April 30 that year.
Subash told Bombay Times, "I remember in January 2020, I had gone to meet Rishi Kapoor at his home. We had a long chat like good friends. He was so happy to share with me that they were planning his son Ranbir’s marriage with Alia in December 2020 in a big way. But he left us all with deep grief suddenly."
