KARACHI:

Like other parts of the country, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporters staged protest demonstrations at various areas of Karachi late on Sunday night. The public gatherings continued late after midnight.

The biggest gathering was held in the Gulistan-e-Jauhar near Millennium Shopping Mall. A large number of citizens participated in the protest.

PTI leader Firdous Shamim Naqvi addressing the mammoth crowd said that Muttahida Qaumi Movement had planned corruption together with Pakistan Peoples Party. Muttahida had won some seats in the last election and now it will not be able to secure these too.

"MQM betrayed the nation together with three rats," Naqvi said taking a jibe at Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Shahbaz Sharif and Asif Zardari.

PTI leader Arsalan Taj said though MQM was working with PTI, "we were watching their easy load politics." Saeed Afridi while addressing the PTI supporters said that all opposition parties are on one side and PTI alone.

People have also seen political horse-trading in Sindh House. PTI Karachi President Bilal Ghaffar said that storms and turmoil make people stronger.

PTI will rise stronger after this time of trial and tabulation. A large number of women and children were also present in the protest while party anthems were also played
