Kourtney Kardashian, Travis Barker tied the knot after the Grammys

The couple had a wedding ‘for fun’ and will reportedly have a real wedding soon.

Congratulations are in order for reality TV star Kourtney Kardashian and fiancé Travis Barker. The couple officially tied the knot at the One Love Wedding Chapel on Sunday night after they stepped out hand in hand at the 2022 Grammys in Las Vegas. However, according to a source close to the couple, Kourtney and Travis eloped to get “married for fun” and since their nuptials happened without a marriage licence, it’s not legal as of yet, reported Page Six.

The newlyweds arrived at the chapel still dressed in the clothes they wore to the 64th Annual Grammy Awards. Their private wedding took place at 1:45 a.m. on Monday. "I didn't know who it was until they pulled up. I advertise it as 24-hours but they wanted to make sure I was still there. They paid and they requested Elvis Presley, which was mandatory. I called back 5 minutes later and was like, I got an Elvis, and there they were," One Love Wedding Chapel owner Marty Frierson told the publication. The owner shared that the ceremony lasted about half an hour.

"They came, got married, tossed the bouquet in the driveway, and danced to Elvis," says Frierson. "They showed a lot of love and had a lot of fun."

As soon as the news of the couple tying the knot went viral, a source close to them told Page Six that they only “married for fun.” The insider revealed on Tuesday that “Kourtney and Travis had a ceremony, but on paper, it’s not legal yet.” The claim is corroborated by the Clark County marriage licence and certificate records, which reveal that Kourtney and Travis never sought a marriage licence to make it official.

While this news may be a bummer to the fans of the couple, TMZ later reported that “many further events with lots of fanfare” are being planned for Kourtney and Travis’ actual wedding. The couple certainly enjoyed their faux wedding to the fullest with an Elvis Presley lookalike as an officiant. Let’s see what grandeur their real wedding holds!

Travis proposed to the Poosh founder in October 2021 in Montecito, California, at Rosewood Miramar Beach hotel. Kourtney shares children Mason, 11, Penelope, 9, and Reign, 7 with ex Scott Disick while Travis shares son Landon, 18, and daughter Alabama, 15, with ex-wife Shanna Moakler, but he's also remained close to 23-year-old stepdaughter Atiana, whom the 47-year-old model shares with boxer Oscar De La Hoya.
