To mark the beginning of the holy month, several celebrities, including supermodel Bella Hadid and actor Mahira Khan, took to social media to share Ramazan greetings with Muslims across the world.
Bella reshared a post made by her father, Mohamed Hadid, on her Instagram stories. The post read, “Ramazan Kareem and Mubarak. Wish peace and tranquillity for all religions. We only have one God for all, you can be Muslim Christian or [belong to] a Jewish faith.” The post added, referencing Palestine and its struggle for liberation, “Hope to see peace in the Holy land… refrain from giving pain to others. I wish for peace in Ukraine and Palestine and all parts of the world.”
On the other hand, Mahira shared a peaceful photo of the night sky to her Instagram story, writing, “Ramazan Mubarak,” along with a white heart and dove emoji.
Actor Sanam Saeed also posted a picture of the Ramazan moon to her story, writing, “Favourite time of the year, peace and blessings to all!”
American singer Halsey also took to social media to wish her Muslim fans, resharing an illustration that read, “Ramazan Mubarak”.
Cake actor Adnan Malik tweeted in honour of the holy month, “Just saw a tender nail-clipping of a crescent moon suspended deep in the sfumato of a bruised orange Karachi sky. A prayer rose to my heart, ‘Let there be emotional ease for all humanity.’”
Actors Aiman Khan and Mawra Hocane also posted Ramazan greetings, with Gohar Rasheed sharing his experience of praying taraweeh in the Hagia Sophia in Turkey.
Veteran actor Samina Peerzada, singer Asim Azhar and actor Faysal Quraishi tweeted in honour of Ramazan as well.
