The body of a hotel owner was found in a car within the limits of Morgah police station in Rawalpindi.

Police said that the 25-yearold man named Chaudhry Farooq, who was the owner of a hotel located in Saddar was killed and then burnt to death.

The burnt body and the car was found in the deserted area.

Police have registered a case and said that between Thursday and Friday night, the security guards of a private company informed Rescue 1122 and police after they spotted flames rising in the deserted area.

When the staff reached the site, they found the body of an unidentified 25-year-old man in the back seat of the vehicle, said the police, adding that the body and the car were completely burnt.

After collecting evidence, Rescue 1122 shifted the body to the hospital for postmortem.

According to an initial investigation, the car belonged to Chaudhry Farooq, owner of Hotel D-Mall in Saddar, Rawalpindi.

When police contacted the victim's family and they said that Chaudhry Farooq left for work at 5pm on Thursday and did not return.

Police investigators believed the victim was killed elsewhere and his body was put in the car and set on fire in the deserted vehicle.

Police are examining the footage of close circuit cameras installed around the victim's house and on the way to the hotel. Police have also contacted to get call data of the victim's mobile phone number.

Civil Line DSP Farhan Aslam said that the situation will be cleared after a thorough investigation.

On the other hand, a case of murder has been registered at Morgah police station.

Meanwhile, a case of armed clash that took place on Thursday night has been registered at the Waris Khan police station.

At least two people were killed while two others suffered injuries in an armed clash between Raja Nasir Group and Kohistani Group over a fight among the children at Chah Sultan furniture market within the limits of Waris Khan police station.

The police said that the case was registered on the complaint of Raja Nasir’s nephew named Zain Mukhtar who was not only the witness to the incident but also suffered injuries.

Mukhtar informed the police that around 15 men barged into the Taj Furniture Shop and opened fire. Raja Nasir was shot seven times and he died on the spot.

Police said that they have added a cross-version of the other group in the FIR.

According to the police, Raja Nasir and Ashraf were killed on the spot while Arsalan and Gul Zaman were seriously injured.

The area residents shifted the injured to the Benazir Bhutto Hospital.
