WhatsApp is making voice message recording and sending more convenient, so that it is as easy as sending a text message.

According to the Meta-owned messaging app, 7 billion voice messages are sent on average each day, protected with end-to-end encryption to ensure privacy and security. New features will allow out of chat playback, where you can listen to a voice message outside of the chat window and allow you to multitask. Additionally, you can now pause and play a recording.

The update will allow waveform visualisation which will display a visual respresentation of the voice message to make it easy for you to follow the recording. You can even preview your recording before sending them, and resume your recording if you leave it halfway and exit the chat. Just like its prevoius update, you can listen to recorded and forwarded messages at 1.5x or 2x speeds.

The update will be rolled out in the upcoming weeks, according to the WhatsApp blog.
