ISPR says three infiltrators killed in swift response from soldiers

ISLAMABAD:

Six army troops embraced martyrdom, while foiling an attempt by terrorists to enter inside a military compound in the general area of Tank in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a media release on Wednesday.

The ISPR, the media wing of the military, said that the troops responded to the terrorist attempt in an efficient manner, encircled and killed all the three terrorists, thereby foiling the attempted entry inside the military compound.

“On 30th March 2022, three terrorists attempted to enter inside a military compound in general area Tank. [Our] own troops responded in an efficient manner, encircled and killed all three terrorists thereby foiling the attempted entry inside the military compound,” the ISPR said.

However, during the intense exchange of fire, six soldiers, having fought gallantly, embraced Shahadat. They were identified as Subedar Major Sher Muhammad, 48, from Nausheroferoze, Naib Subedar Zubaid, 39, from Khairpur, Havildar Sohail, 39, from Rawalpindi, Lance Naik Ghulam Ali, 36, from Tando Allahyar, Sepoy Maskeen Ali, 32, from Khairpur and Sepoy Mir Muhammad, 37, from Sukkur.

“Pakistan Army is determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve,” the ISPR said.

An army officer and a soldier embraced martyrdom on Tuesday during an exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists in Makin, South Waziristan district, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a press release on Wednesday.

“Troops responded in a befitting manner and killed four terrorists,” the military’s media wing stated. However, it added, “During intense exchange of fire Captain Saad Bin Amir (age 25 years, resident of Rawalpindi) and Lance Naik Riaz (age 37 years, resident of Tank), having fought gallantly, embraced shahadat.”

The area was being cleared out to eliminate any other terrorists hiding there, the ISPR said.

“Pakistan Army is determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave officers and soldiers further strengthen our resolve,” the communiqué added.
