The federal government has been asked to set purchase limits on the subsidised items provided to citizens under its Ramazan relief package at Utility Stores Corporation (USC).
It has been recommended that the limit should be set at Rs3,000 or Rs5,000 per family, sources said on Monday.
The suggestions for purchase subsidy limits will be finalised soon. The federal government had earlier this month approved Rs8.280 billion Ramazan relief Package to provide subsidies on 19 essential items at utility stores.
