Gujar Khan police on Thursday arrested two notorious criminals, including a wanted criminal in a murder case.
According to the Rawalpindi Police Spokesperson, Hasnain Ali was shot dead by wanted criminal Kamran Shahzad along with other accomplices on the basis of a previous altercation. The case was registered in the year 2021 at Gujar Khan Police Station on the complaint of the victim's brother. In another operation, the police arrested Idrees Qamar, wanted in a criminal case.
He committed a crime in 2021. SP Saddar Ahmed Zanir Cheema said that the arrest of the accused helps in providing justice to the family. The arrested criminals will be challaned with solid evidence and will be punished", he said.
Meanwhile, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Wasim Riaz on Thursday reviewed the security arrangements in different areas of the city and instructed the officers and personnel on duty to ensure foolproof security.

SSP Operations Wasim Riaz said that the protection of the life and property of the citizens was the first responsibility of the police. "All resources are being utilized for foolproof security", he said.
Meanwhile, City Police Officer (CPO) Omar Saeed Malik on Thursday visited Police Station Chauntra and Police check post Chakri and inspected the front desk, lock up and records.
The City Police Officer visited Chauntra Police Station and Police check post Chakri along with SSP Investigation Ghazanfar Ali Shah, SP Saddar Ahmed Zaneer Cheema, DSP Saddar Abdul Sattar Khan, SHO Chauntra and other senior officers. "The police station is a basic unit for providing justice to the people. According to the vision of the Inspector General of Police Punjab, prompt redressal of the grievances of the citizens will be ensured. All necessary steps are being taken to further improve service delivery", he said.
