With the popularity of the word-guess game, Wordle, various spinoffs were introduced including guessing mathematical equations and Taylor Swift lyrics. A new version of the game now asks players to guess world geography, which is suprisingly gaining popularity rapidly.

Inspired by Wordle, Worldle was created by Antoine Teuf, which allows players six chances to guess a country or territory based on just the shape or outline of the region. If guessed incorrectly, the game will show players where it is located on the map. The game cooses counteriesor territories at random based on an OpenSource map and a standardize set of country codes. Like the original, Worldle also hasp options to make the game more challenging. Users can choose to either hide the image or rotate the image of the region, to make guessing eve harder.

Just like Wordle, this game can also be played only once a day, providing green, yellow and black squares to symbolize how quickly they solved guessed the correct answer. Results can also be shared on social media, including Twitter.

The popularity of the game surprised the game developer who said there had been 10,000 players within just 10 days of the launch, and users are growing rapidly.
