HAZARA:

The appointment of three teachers at the Government Boys Primary School in Pirdad has been approved.

On Friday, Punjab government Spokesman and District President PTI Qazi Ahmad Akbar took notice of the shortage of teachers at the school and got the appointment of three teachers approved by the Attock Education Department.

The school was facing a severe shortage of teachers as only one teacher was responsible for an astounding 150 students. Students from Class I to Class 5 were being taught by the same teacher. This situation had disrupted the education of all students. Local citizens had already filed complaints with top officials of the Attock Education Department, but no immediate measures were taken.

The spokesman took notice of the news published in The Express Tribune two days ago and called on the officials of the Attock Education Department and apprised them of the shortage of teachers at the school.

The education department officials assured Qazi Ahmed Akbar that three teachers would be immediately posted in the school. After these appointments, the number of teachers in the school would immediately increase to four.

Talking to the media persons, Akbar said that efforts should be made to provide educational facilities to all government schools and colleges.

Earlier, the Punjab government had also approved to provide a laboratory and other necessities for Hazro Girls College while efforts are underway to solve development work and other problems in schools.

"I sincerely wish that the students get the best education in government schools and contribute to their areas after completing education," he said, adding that he would continue to play his role in raising the standard of education in the region.

Earlier, he had also provided his own property for a Special Middle Education Center in Hazro, after which a school building is also being constructed there. “The purpose of our politics is to serve the people of the area,” he added.

Earlier, Haji Mubaris Khan Alizai, a renowned lawyer in the area, said, “Even in this modern age, our area is being kept in darkness by the officials of the Education Department. While the Government of Punjab is taking practical steps for the promotion of education in other parts of the province, the shortage of teachers is ruining the children's future in Hazro. This is a condemnable situation,” he added.

Several parents have protested against the incompetence of the Attock Department of Education and demanded an immediate appointment of the teachers at the school.
