LAHORE:

A woman, visiting a medical store to buy her daughter’s medicines, was allegedly kidnapped by three unidentified suspects and gang-raped in Kahna.

In her statement to police, she said she was passing by Ferozepur Road when three suspects in a car forced her into their vehicle at gunpoint. The suspects then drove to their house in at Sui Asal, where they sexually assaulted her throughout the night.

The next morning, the victim managed to escape through the open main gate and ran from the place. She added that the suspects had stolen her purse, getting hold of her daughter’s medical prescription and Rs7,500 she had been carrying at the time.

Similar cases in the area have previously been covered by The Express Tribune, where women are taken to an unknown location against their will and then sexually assaulted. In December last year, a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted on pretext of getting her medicine in Khurrianwala town.
