Tragedy: Two people drown in Haripur

HARIPUR: Two persons including a woman drowned, while the third was rescued by local divers in two different incidents on Thursday. The police quoted Daud, a resident Kahal, as saying that his qife Zaryan Bibi, 46, who was mentally challenged left for a neighbour’s house after sehri. However, after some time people found her body from the reservoir of Kahal Dam. In the second incident, two boys, who were swimming in a barrage near Ghazi Brotha Hydro Power Project, when both of them slipped in deep water. However, one of them, namely Shahid, was rescued by local divers and shifted to Ghazi Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, while the body of the other boy, who was identified as Muhammad Naeem, was recovered and handed over to his family.
