The red carpet for the Critics Choice Awards held on Sunday saw several celebrity guests put their best foot forward when it comes to fashion. Winners of the night included Power of the Dog, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch, in the best picture category, with Jessica Chastain, Will Smith, Ariana DeBose and Halle Berry bagging awards in the acting categories. Standout looks were offered by Only Murders in the Building star Selena Gomez, Reservation Dogs actor D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai and Squid Game breakout star HoYeon Jung, among others. Here is the list of best-dressed celebs at the star-studded event.
Selena Gomez
The Spring Breakers actor matched with the red carpet in a stunning Louis Vuitton number. The fitted gown included a slit running up the leg as well as a cape, complete with a bejewelled centrepiece. Pairing it with minimal accessories, the actor looked as glamorous as ever.
Andrew Garfield
The Spider-Man: No Way Home actor opted for a loose-fitting velvet suit by Saint Laurent. Pairing the suit with shiny black shoes and a shirt with silver thread work, the actor’s look was like a breath of fresh air in a sea of done-to-death suit and tie combos.
Mychal-Bella Bowman
It’s hard not to stare at the young actor’s strapless astro-inspired blue dress. The Underground Railroad actor complimented the gown’s constellation embroidery with a pop of silver eye eyeshadow, ditching the jewellery to let the dress do the talking.
HoYeon Jung
Squid Game’s HoYeon Jung looked positively stunning in a 1920s-inspired Louis Vuitton dress which featured a structured waistline and sparkling gold and silver embellishments. Pairing the statement piece with black open-toed heels, the actor topped off the look with some LV jewels.
Kristen Stewart
The actor opted for a classic slip dress by Dolce & Gabbana. The Spencer star paired the blush-pink number with no jewellery save for a tennis bracelet and a ring, keeping her hair gathered to one side.
Nicole Byer
Talk about making an entrance! The American comedian looked as gorgeous as ever in a pink off-shoulder ball gown. The bright pink number was accessorised with tiny diamond drop earrings and hair piled over the head.
Elle Fanning
The actor opted for a sparkly gold fit-and-flare dress by Oscar de la Renta, pairing it with matching golden heeled pumps. The Great actor went for an orangy-red pout to add some colour to the overall look, keeping her hair off her shoulders in a neat ponytail.
Rachel Zegler
The West Side Story breakout star looked like an early 2000s dream in a green Dior haute couture gown. The actor opted for a Y2K hairdo, complete with two loose strands framing the face, as well as a deep red pout and brown eye makeup.
D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai
The Reservation Dogs actor channelled his indigenous roots in this look, accessorising the all-white suit with silver and turquoise tribal jewellery and braided hair. The actor ditched the dress shoes in favour of matching white sneakers as well.
