The unidentified body found floating in the creek at Marina Club in Defence Housing Authority (DHA) has been identified as that of a 10th grade student Najaf Najib Baloch allegedly killed by a friend and his father over a financial dispute.
The victim was reported missing on January 4. On January 17, days-old body was found near the Marina Club. Police had registered case against unidentified suspects and mentioned the cause of death as apparent shooting.
Due to the deteriorated condition of the body, the Chhipa Foundation had buried it in the graveyard for unidentified corpses at Korangi's Chakra Goth. According to police, Najaf Baloch, 17, was resident of Malir Cantt and had a financial dispute with his friend Shahrukh and his father Ghulam Nabi.
Baloch had invested Rs5 million in real estate business with Shahrukh. However when Baloch demanded return on investment, Shahrukh started delaying the matter. Meanwhile, Shahrukh and Ghulam Nabi gave Baloch a car, but when he checked it, it turned out to be a non-customs paid vehicle.
