Death toll zero as pandemic wanes

Fortunately no death stemming from Covid-19 was reported on Saturday, however 306 new cases emerged when 7,243 tests were conducted, a statement issued from CM House said.

The latest cases have put current detection rate at 4.2 per cent. Currently 8,824 patients were under treatment; of them condition of 110 patients was stated to be critical, including nine shifted to ventilators. According to the statement, out of 306 new cases, 73 have been detected from Karachi.

According to district wise statistics, Hyderabad has 59, Noushehro Feroze 18, Dadu and Jamshoro 16 each, Tando Muhammad Khan 15, Thatta and Ghotki 13 each, Sujawal 12, Badin, Tharparkar and Matiari nine each, Sanghar eight, Shikarpur seven, Umarkot six, Larkana, Sukkur, Tando Allahyar five each, and Mirpurkhas four. The report stated in the last 24 hours, 76,730 people were administered anti-Covid vaccines.
