The 19th convocation ceremony of the Karachi Institute of Economics and Technology was held on Friday at the Convention Centre of the PAF Museum at Base Faisal.
A total of 965 graduates were awarded degrees in the disciplines of management sciences, computer sciences, engineering, media and arts. The College of Management Sciences awarded 114 BB degrees including 24 in BS-Accounting and Finance, 70 in BS-Aviation Management. As many as 183 MBA degrees were also awarded, 11 MS and two PhD Management Sciences degree programs.
The College of Computing & Information Sciences awarded 322 degrees in BSCS, 37 in BS-ERP, 20 in MCS, 32 in MS-CS and one in PhD Computer Science.
Thirty degrees were awarded to BCA and BS-TV and Film and 14 to MCA graduates of the College of Media and Arts. Furthermore, the College of Engineering awarded 54 degrees to the graduates of BE Electrical, 16 to BE Mechatronics, 31 to BE Avionics, one in MS Electronics and a in PhD Electronics Engineering degree programmes. Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industries (KCCI) Muhammad Idress President was the chief guest on the occasion.
