This International Women’s Day, several male celebrities have taken to social media to celebrate the women in their lives and beyond. Ace cricketer Shahid Afridi, who is a proud father of five daughters, took to Twitter to comment on how “women have the strength to move the world”. Actor Junaid Khan also posted on his Instagram story in honour of the occasion, deeming equality “the key” to coexistence.

Sharing a family photograph with his wife and daughters, Afridi wrote on Twitter, “You are the nourishing power of the universe. You make it come alive, more colourful and inspirational. Being a father of five wonderful girls, I can proudly say women have the strength to move the world; let’s celebrate them every day and support them to break the bias. Happy Women’s Day.”

Khan’s Instagram story read, “This year, Women’s Day is all about gender equality! Gender equality doesn’t make one sex strong and the other sex weak. Rather, it is the key to [coexistence].” The actor added, “Wishing women all over the world a very happy International Women’s Day!”

Jackson Heights actor Adeel Hussain also took to his Instagram stories to share a picture in celebration of Women’s Day.

On the other side of the border, Gangubai Kathiawadi actor Ajay Devgn posted a sweet tribute to the women in his life on Instagram. The actor shared a video of his own name being truncated, with Devgn redefining himself as “Veena’s son”, “Kavita and Neelam’s brother”, “Kajol’s husband” and “Nysa’s father”.
