Five-year-old’s body found in water tank

This is second such incident in a week in Rawalpindi division

The body of a five-year-old boy, Rehan Akram, was found from an underground water tank in Dera Khalsa area in the jurisdiction of Kallar Syedan police station.

After receiving information about the incident, police reached the site. They said that they would investigate on the basis of forensic evidence. They will look into the case from different angles.

Taking notice of the incident, CPO Omar Saeed Malik directed SDPO Gujar Khan to reach the spot and collect evidence. This is the second incident in a week in Rawalpindi division that the body of a child was found in an underground tank.

Last week, the body of a 10-year-old boy was found from an underground water tank in an under-construction house in the precincts of Saddar Barooni police station.

According to a police spokesman, three days ago, a case of abduction of a child named Hamza was registered at Saddar Baroni police station.

At the request of the father, a case of kidnapping was registered and an investigation was started, but police remained clueless about his whereabouts. Later, Hamza's body was found in an underground water tank.
