A man was crushed to death when a truck driver crushed him under his dumper near the Tipu Sultan bridge in the city. The dumper also overturned due to over speeding. The police rushed to the scene and shifted the body to JPMC. The victim could not be identified till filing of this report.
Injured in firing
A woman was injured in a mysterious incident of firing inside a house in New Karachi. The woman was identified as 40-year-old Saima, wife of Qazi Abdul Nadeem. The incident took place when a bullet coming from an unknown direction hit the woman's back. Bilal Colony police are investigating.
Robber arrested
The Korangi Industrial Area police have arrested an armed robber after an alleged encounter. In this regard, the police said that the suspect was injured during the encounter at Haji Ibrahim Goth Sector 7 near Malir river. Police recovered a TT pistol and ammunition from his possession. His accomplice to escape from the scene.
