PESHAWAR:

Muntazir Hussain, a 13-year-old boy from Chakwal, who was on a visit to Peshawar along with his uncle, lost his life in the Kocha Risaldar suicide bombing on Friday.

Talking to The Express Tribune, the local residents said that Muntazir and his maternal uncle came to Peshawar to meet his aunt – mother’s sister.

“They were guests in Peshawar and on that fatal day decided to offer their Friday prayers at the Kocha Risaldar imambargah,” the local said, adding that both the uncle and nephew were killed in the attack.

“They were here to meet Muntazir’s aunt and explore Peshawar but had no idea that death was waiting for them along with 61 other people,” a relative said, adding that the boy was very happy because it was a sort of outing or picnic for him but he didn’t return alive from it.

“We sent them back in coffins to be buried at their ancestral town. His mother has been in constant shock. The rest of the family is not in a different situation,” he said.
