Bollywood actors Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha became victims of morphed pictures and rumour mills after a picture of their ‘secret marriage’ went viral recently. Netizens almost immediately figured that the picture was clearly fake and heavily photoshopped. The picture eventually reached the stars and the Rowdy Rathore actor pointed the obvious to the unversed. Sinha called people “dumb” for even believing the image.
While making fun of the situation, Sinha called out fans who believed the picture to be a real one. Commenting on one of the many posts on Instagram flashing the viral image claimed to be from their marriage, she wrote, “Are you so dumb that you can't tell the difference between a real and a morphed picture?” followed by laughing emojis.
The image sees the Dabangg star putting a ring on the Akira actor’s finger. Khan was dressed in a white shirt and beige jacket, while Sinha donned a traditional red saree with heavy jewellery and sindoor.
While the Instagram post may be deleted or archived, a Reddit post under the subreddit Bolly Blinds n Gossip shows screengrabs of the original picture and Sinha’s rather amusing comment under it. After the photoshopped image went viral, many social media users expressed their embarrassment over the failed attempt as well. "This photo looks like Race 3 CG level and some people still believe this is true," commented one user on the post. Another added, "It’s beyond embarrassing at this point; heights of ridiculous."
The 34-year-old actor made her big Bollywood debut with the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor in Dabangg in 2010 and has been a part of the franchise since. Meanwhile, on the work front, Sinha will next be seen in Double XL co-starring Huma Qureshi in the lead role. Apart from that, she has also signed Kakuda with Riteish Deshmukh and Saqib Saleem.
Khan, on the other hand, has Tiger 3 in his pipeline. The film also stars Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles and is slated to hit on Eid this year.
