Black Panther actor Lupita Nyong'o has been serving one desi look after another during her stay in Karachi. The Mexican-Kenyan star paid a visit to Pakistan to attend one of her close friends and visual artist Misha Japanwala’s wedding festivities.
Pictures of the Academy Award-winning actor went viral on social media, as she shared her Karachi experience with her followers on Instagram, posting sneak peeks from the wedding, as well as pictures and videos of her touring the city.
During one of the events, Lupita put her best foot forward in a blush pink shalwar kameez from Indian designer Anita Dogre. The outfit featured a floral print and tassels on the neckline. The star paired the casual outfit with matching, white tie-up embellished flats and a pair of diamond drop earrings.
The shalwar set was accessorised with a blush pink manicure and pedicure, as well as a matching potla (pouch). Hands adorned with henna added to the finishing touches.
Taking to her social media handles, the Oscar winner shared pictures of her glowing in a floral ensemble, whilst celebrating her birthday in full swing by the Karachi beach. Lupita captioned the post, “It's my birthday, and I'll twirl if I want to!”
A modern take on the traditional lehenga choli, Lupita flaunting her blue floral skirt paired with a white blouse by Anita Dogre. The separates comprised of pink daisies, and she matched her look once again with a complementing pouch and white sunnies. A pink neckpiece completed her look.
“We found love at the Mayun. Desi Diary continues,” Lupita captioned a post that saw acing yet another shalwar kameez look. Dressed in a beige and powder blue number, she was all smiles for the camera. The minimal yet striking outfit featured block print on the dupatta, light embellishments and a well-fitted high-neck. She rounded off her look with silver flats and chunky earrings.
This look was one for the books! Lupita took to the streets of Karachi in a casual black-and-white shalwar kameez. She accessorised her understated look with a pair of sunnies, a fanny pack and a delicate bracelet. “A Kenyan in Karachi,” Lupita captioned the post, as she stopped for some chai from the dhaba and gol guppas.
