SANGHAR:

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) Huqooq-e-Sindh march on Wednesday entered Sindhri, Mirpurkhas as party leaders addressed participants in large numbers.

According to a statement issued by the party, the people of the district accorded a warm welcome to the rally and welcomed the PTI leaders with enthusiastic chants and rose petals.

Foreign Minister and PTI Vice-President Shah Mahmood Qureshi as well as other senior leaders addressed the participants.

Last week, while addressing party supporters in Shikarpur and Jacobabad, the veteran party leader said his party was ready for accountability of its 3.5-year rule, but the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) would also have to give answers for what it had done in Sindh for the past 15 years.

Qureshi was quoted as saying that the condition of Sindh reminded him of the situation in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa where people became disappointed with the unremitting misrule in their province.

Earlier in February, the march set off from Ghotki district with hard-hitting speeches from its leadership, bashing the PPP for “plundering” the resources of the province.
