Mulaudzi has been battling a hamstring problem which affected his lower back.
JOHANNESBURG:
A back injury will prevent South African Mbulaeni Mulaudzi from defending his World Athletics Championships 800-metres title in Daegu, South Korea this month. Mulaudzi has been battling a hamstring problem which affected his lower back and coach Peet van Zyl said the injury did not respond to treatment, forcing the title-holder to pull out of the South African team.
