ISLAMABAD:

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday felicitated the Saudi leadership on the founding day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Taking to his official Twitter handle, the premier extended his “heartiest greetings to the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques” King Salman Bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman and the “brotherly” people of the kingdom.

PM Imran also hoped for the prosperity of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and its people.

The premier’s tweet comes after official sources told The Express Tribune that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are in talks to finalise the dates for the much-awaited visit of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman to Islamabad, which is likely to take place in March.

Pakistan, sources added, is keen that the Saudi crown prince attends the Pakistan Day parade as a guest of honour on March 23.

Sources said that the two sides were in touch with each other and barring an exception, it is likely the Saudi de facto ruler will visit Pakistan which would be his second visit in three years.
