Strangled body of missing minor found in drain

SHO says post-mortem of the slain child has been done at JPMC

KARACHI:

Body of a minor was found strangled from a nullah near Shah Faisal Colony. The minor went missing on February 13 while playing outside the house within the limits of Shah Faisal Colony police station.

The child was identified as Muhammad Arham, 3, son of Mansoor Ali Miraj. The victim was a resident of a Katchi Abadi in Shah Faisal Colony.

SHO Shah Faisal Colony Manzoor Arain told The Express Tribune that the victim went missing on February 13 while playing outside his house. The family of the slain child searched for him everywhere but found no trace of him. The next day, on February 14, on the complaint of his mother, Iqra, a case of abduction was registered against unidentified suspects.

The SHO said that the post-mortem of the slain child has been done at JPMC and the MLO in his initial observation said that the minor was killed by strangulation.

He said that the family of the minor had expressed suspicion on their neighbour. Police are questioning him.
