It’s over! Fans disappointed over Karachi Kings terrible PSL run

Hard luck, Babar Azam. Kings’ are officially out of the tournament after seven consecutive losses in PSL

Karachi Kings possibly had the worst luck at the seventh edition of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL). Out of the seven qualifier matches played, the Babar Azam led franchise made history after being the only team, failing to emerge victorious in even a single match.

The final nail in the coffin was KK’s clash with Islamabad United on Sunday, which they lost by one run. Despite Imad Wasim and Qasim Akram playing exceptionally well, the top order of the team did not start off well. The team has consistently failed to pick up the game with an early start. There’s only so much that a few top tier players can do.

PSL’s history has never seen a team lose seven matches consecutively. Fans, disappointed and enraged, took to the microblogging site to lash out in the most comical ways. As always, memes became the coping mechanism and like a fan predicted (ambitiously) and said, “Mark your calendars Karachi Kings fans, February 27th! That’s when this nightmare officially ends.”

Well, it ended way sooner than that but at least it's over. Here are some of the best fan reactions dealing with the loss.

A fan even compared the state of KK fans to actor Feroze Khan's angry young man avatar in the controversial Aye Musht-e-Khaak.
