Police arrest eight robbers after encounter
Eight robbers, including two in injured condition, were arrested during a police encounter in the Ratriyan area of Pindi Gheb.
According to the police, after receiving information about the presence of robbers, the patrolling team reached the spot and found the road blocked with rocks by the robbers. In the meanwhile, the robbers opened fire on the police, which retaliated and arrested suspects who were identified as Muhammad Boota, Sajid Manzoor, Manzoor Hussain, Muhammad Ashraf, Noor Muhammad, Muhammad Amjad, Muhammad Ashfaq. Two suspects, Khadim Hussain and Muhammad Arif were arrested in injured condition.
Two accomplices of the suspects escaped, taking advantage of the darkness, the police said adding that the injured robbers were later taken to the tehsil headquarters hospital Pindi Gheib and later shifted to DHQ Attock after giving first aid. The police registered a case and further investigation is under way.
