Airing dirty laundry? Kim, Kanye squabble over daughter's TikTok

While sharing a picture of North, the singer called out estranged wife publicly for letting their firstborn use TikTok

Reality star Kim Kardashian and popular musician Kanye West have made headlines previously after the former couple announced parting ways last year. Kardashian, 41, has tried to keep the matters between the two private but Ye's untiring attempts to reconcile with his estranged wife have been in the public eye for long. 

Recently, the Heartless singer took to Instagram and shared how he has been plucked out of his children's life while taking a jibe at Kardashian. Ye, while sharing a picture of North, 8, his firstborn with the reality star called out Kardashian publicly for letting North use TikTok. He penned, "Since this is my first divorce I need to know what should I do about my daughter being put on TikTok against my will?"

Upon this, Kardashian, who has tried her best to keep mum on her marriage with Ye, shared an Instagram story to address the matter. "Kanye’s constant attacks on me in interviews and on social media is actually more hurtful than any TikTok North might create. As the parent who is the main provider and caregiver for our children, I am doing my best to protect our daughter while also allowing her to express her creativity in the medium that she wishes with adult supervision—because it brings her happiness," she wrote. 

Kardashian went on to add, "Divorce is difficult enough on our children and Kanye’s obsession with trying to control and manipulate our situation so negatively and publicly is only causing further pain for all. From the beginning, I have wanted nothing but a healthy and supportive co-parenting relationship because it is what is best for our children and it saddens me that Kanye continues to make it impossible every step of the way."

She ended her stance with, "I wish to handle all matters regarding our children privately and hopefully, he can finally respond to the third attorney he has had in the last year to resolve any issues amicably."

Ye's response

Ye, then replied to his estranged wife's take and shared, "What do you mean by [the] main provider? America saw you try to kidnap my daughter on her birthday by not providing the address.

The Stronger singer added, "You put security on me inside of the house to play with my son then accused me of stealing I had to take a drug test after Chicago's party cause you accused me of being on drugs. Tracy Romulus stop manipulating Kim to be this way."

No more Kimye

After almost a decade of being together, the couple's marriage came to an end in February last year. "He knows that she's done. She has had enough, and she told him that she wants some space to figure out her future," a source shared with PEOPLE at that time, adding that Ye, 44, is bracing filing but does not know when. "He's okay. He's sad, but okay. He knows the inevitable will happen, and he knows that it's coming soon," the source had further shared.
