RAWALPINDI:

The security forces on Friday killed the remaining “three terrorists, including two high-value targets, at Balgatar, Kech in a follow up clearance operation conducted on a makeshift terrorist hideout linked with recent terror activities in Panjgur”.

Terrorists had attacked security forces camps in Panjgur and Naushki districts of Balochistan on Wednesday night. The security forces bravely repulsed the attack, killing 13 terrorists while four soldiers, including an officer, embraced martyrdom.

Reports were doing the round on Thursday that “operation to eliminate fleeing terrorists is under way”.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations on Friday, the terrorists’ hideout was surrounded on a major intelligence tip-off. “The security forces encircled the well, dug out terrorists and in an intense exchange of fire, killed all three terrorists hiding there.”

The killed individuals include terrorist commander Summair alias Bahar, terrorist commander Altaf alias Lalik and terrorist commander Phailan Baloch, who was involved in terror activities against security forces in Hoshab, Panjgur and other areas, the military’s media wing added.

“The killed terrorists were involved in terror activities in Balochistan,” the ISPR said. “Cache of arms and ammunition was recovered from the hideout.”

A total of 16 terrorists have been killed since Wednesday night.
