'Parizaad’ finale has fans swooning over its happy ending and poetic climax

Penned by Hashim Nadeem, the popular Ahmed Ali Akber-starrer has been a fan favourite since its first episode

As cliche as it sounds; all good things come to an end - and so did the hit drama serial Parizaad. For those who couldn’t make it to the cinematic premiere of the Ahmed Ali Akber-starrer show, Tuesday marked the end of their journey with Parizaad.

If social media buzz is to be taken into the account, it was worth the wait.

Following the brilliant character arc of the main lead, fans were curious to know if the popular drama would change the destructive sad ending of the novel to a happy one and it’s fair to say the finale delivered what fans wanted. From stunning locales to the recitation of Munir Niazi’s heartwarming poetry Hamesha Dair Kar Deta Hoon, the episode left fans emotional.

Ahmed Ali Akbar took to Twitter to thanks fans for “understanding the tiniest nuances of Parizad’s personality.” He shared, “Thank you so much for all the love and prayers you have given to Parizaad and the team behind it. You listened carefully to the words of Hashim Nadeem, followed the storytelling of Shahzad Kashmiri and understood the tiniest nuance of Parizaad's personality. We are humbled and grateful!"

Poetic glory
Filled with regrets, Munir Niazi’s words touch directly the soul. The excellent choice of the poem became a favourite aspect of the last episode for many fans and some even thanked the director for portraying it in a way that they “finally understood its meaning” despite reading it in their college days.

A user also appreciated the fresh perspective of exploring love, loss and mental health without a need a "take refuge in religion" unlike most Pakistani dramas.
