Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has asserted that no one will be allowed to create hurdles in the ongoing development process and every such attempt will remain unsuccessful.
The chief minister said in a statement issued on Sunday that the government had taken a number of steps for public welfare during the past three and a half years and the country was heading towards sustainable development.
He alleged that the opposition Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) had kept the national interest aside. There was no threat to the government from the opposition, he added. He said a hollow slogan of respect for vote had met its logical end.
Chief Minister Buzdar said the people had given a five-year mandate to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government led by Prime Minister Imran Khan. The government had always answered negative propaganda with public service, he asserted. The chief minister also claimed that opposition leaders had always tried to sabotage national unity and solidarity through negative politics.
He said national unity and solidarity was the only way to put the country on the road to progress. “Our beloved motherland demands from us leaving the personal conflicts and differences behind.”
Chief Minister Buzdar said that unfortunately the opposition was following an agenda contrary to national solidarity and trying to create hindrance in the journey of progress and development. He said such elements were fully aware that people’s support was with PM Imran Khan and the PTI would remain in power with public support.
He maintained that the people of the country had complete confidence in the honest leadership of Prime Minister Khan who was bravely facing internal and external challenges. According to an official announcement, Chief Minister Buzdar directed the health department to take all possible steps to ensure the availability of the medicine of fever at medical stores.
