‘35k people avail free health facilities in Lahore’

Minister says 55% of population have been provided health cards

Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid said more than 35,000 people have availed free health insurance facility in Lahore Division since 1st January 2022.

The health minister stated this while chairing the Cardiac Monitor and Canula handing over ceremony at Mayo Hospital on Monday.

While discussing about health cards, the minister said free eye treatment facility is available under health cards, provided by the current government.

The minister said that more than 70,000 people have got free eye treatment under the government health cards.

She said over 55% of population currently have been provided health cards. She said Dr Asad Aslam has rendered exemplary services to safeguard children from eye complications in the school nutrition program.

Professor Dr Asad Aslam Khan said that Mayo Hospital had earned global recognition for quality eye treatment services.

He said Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid had always served humanity selflessly.
