Spotify lead the music streaming market in last year again, according to a report by MIDIA Research, the audi streaming and media services provider has the market share of 31%. While the data is not the latest, it covers Q2 of last year, reveals the recet report.

With 15% Apple's streaming service takes second place in the rankings according to market share, followed by Amazon Music with 13% share. In third place is also Tencent Music while Google's YouTube music gets only 8% despite being the fastest-growing service in the industry.

While Spotify remains the most-subscribed streaming service, its dominance is decreasing — it held 33% of the market in 2020, and 34% in 2019. Although Spotify added more total subscribers in the year leading up to Q2 2021 compared to its competitors,  the company grew only 20% whereas Amazon Music grew by 25%. Google owned YouTube Music grew by more than 50% in the same time.
