LAHORE:

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar promised on Saturday that the provincial government would consider a proposal to give Depalpur the status of a district.

Every nook and corner of the province had been included in the ambit of progress and development, the chief minister said during a meeting with Syed Ali Raza Gillani who requested the status of district while discussing ongoing development projects and other matters with him.

Chief Minister Buzdar said people were deceived in the past with hollow slogans as the former rulers merely believed in lip service.

“But the incumbent government believes in delivering and our achievements and welfare projects are an open proof of this fact,” he claimed.

He said Punjab had been put on the road of progress and development in a true sense.

Ali Raza Gilani said the chief minister could understand the problems of the people of remote areas.
