Commissioner Mengal to carry out his 'responsibilities with dedication'

RAWALPINDI:

Noor-ul-Amin Mengal and Tahir Farooq on Friday assumed charge as the commissioner Rawalpindi division and the deputy commissioner Rawalpindi district respectively.

After assuming the office, Mengal expressed his commitment to carry out his responsibilities with dedication.

In the light of the Murree tragedy investigation report, the Punjab government had removed Commissioner Syed Gulzar Hussain Shah and Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali and their services were placed at the disposal of the federation.

After assuming charge, Tahir Farooq held an introductory meeting with the heads of different departments. The newly appointed deputy commissioner said that no negligence would be tolerated in implementing government directives.

He asked the departments concerned to prepare a comprehensive plan keeping in view the weather condition.

Meanwhile, another officer was transferred from his post in Rawalpindi after 12 hours of his posting. The newly appointed District Food Controller Muhammad Arshad was removed from his post after 12 hours of his appointment and Muhammad Zaman was once again posted as the District Food Controller Rawalpindi.

Food controller Mohammad Zaman was removed from the post on Thursday and Mohammad Arshad was appointed in his place. Only 12 hours after the appointment of the new DFC, a new notification was issued and Mohammad Arshad was removed from the post.
