It’s the season of romantic gestures and grand proposals. Musician Machine Gun Kelly, whose real name is Colson Baker, did not shy away from proposing to his girlfriend, Megan Fox, right at the place where their romance began. After over a year of dating, the duo, on Wednesday, announced their engagement.

The Transformers actor said yes and shared a video of their grand proposal on her Instagram. Fox went on to pen down a wholesome reflection of their courtship. "In July of 2020, we sat under this banyan tree. We asked for magic. We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time. Unaware of the work and sacrifices the relationship would require from us but intoxicated off of the love. And the karma,” she wrote.

The 35-year-old actor further added that against the odds, they made it. "Somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him," she continued. "And just as in every life before this one, and as in every life that will follow it, I said yes. Then we drank each other's blood.” the Jennifer Body actor concluded.

The Born with Horns artist put a lot of thought into the proposal. From the venue to the design of the engagement ring, everything was carefully curated to represent them as a couple. Sharing an up-close video of the stunning ring, Kelly quoted the Rogue actor and said, “Yes, in this life and every life."

He also shed some light to explain the significance of the custom-made emerald and diamond engagement ring by Stephen Webster. "I know the tradition is one ring, but I designed it with Stephen Webster to be two: the emerald (her birthstone) and the diamond (my birthstone) set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love," he captioned the post.

The couple met first on sets of Fox’s film Midnight in the Switchgrass. The pair made their relationship Instagram official last summer after she appeared in Kelly’s Bloody Valentine music video. Fox has three children with ex-husband Brian Austin Green, while Kelly has a daughter from a previous relationship.
