Social media users woke up to a confusing situation after #Aryan and #iPhone became top Twitter trends overnight. While many thought the trend had to do with Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan, who was recently let off the hook after a drug-related scandal, the truth of the matter appears to be rather different. The original tweet, which saw a user by the name of Aryan sharing screenshots of a chat with his father begging for an iPhone, went viral because of supposed "cringe" content, with the Tweet taking on a life of its own after people began confusing the user with SRK’s son.

Woke up to see Aryan on my TL but he is not srk son.
iPhone mentioned everywhere but there is no new launch.
Kal raat hua kya h bhai? Summary do.
The orginal tweet had the 18-year-old Aryan (not Khan) listing down reason for why his father should buy him an iPhone.

After people started confusing the user for Aryan Khan, Twitter users rose to the occasion, churning out meme after meme about an, at first, stressed out and later relieved SRK.

And this take that hit far too close to home.
Only person I feel bad for in this whole Aryan controversy is the poor intern at the media house who will have to write a wholeass article about this shitshow
