CCTV cameras at district courts out of order
The closed-circuit cameras and walk-through gates installed for security in the Rawalpindi district courts and judicial complex have gone out of order.
There are a total of 77 closed-circuit cameras in district courts and of them, only 60 are functioning.
All the three walk-through gates in the district courts are completely non-functional for the last 14 months.
The judicial complex has a total of 164 closed-circuit cameras and of them, 155 are functional.
The Special Anti-Terrorism Court has a total of 14 closed-circuit cameras and two walk-through gates, which are completely in order.
The police presence in the district court and the judicial complex is also low. For the security of both of these departments, police perform round-the-clock duty in three shifts.
An inspector, three sub-inspectors, two assistant sub-inspectors, three head constables and 28 constables besides one personnel each of Special Branch and the elite force perform security duty in the judicial complex.
