Two terrorists involved in attacks on security forces killed in Tank operation

ISLAMABAD:

At least four soldiers were martyred and one terrorist was arrested during an intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan on Friday, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement.

According to the Pakistan Army's media wing, the security forces conducted the operation in the area on the reported presence of terrorists. During the intense exchange of firing with the terrorist, four soldiers lost their lives.

They included: Havaldar Munawar, 40, resident of Bahawalnagar; Sepoy Zaka Ullah, 31, resident of Laki Marwat; Sepoy Farhan, 34, resident of Kohat; and Sepoy Sheraz, 30, resident of Abbottabad

Meanwhile, in another security operation in Tank, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, two terrorists were killed. They were identified as Shahzeb alias Zakir and Daniyal, the ISPR added in a separate statement.

It said weapons and ammunition were recovered from the suspects who were involved in "terrorist activities against security forces, target killing and kidnapping for ransom".
