Despite measures taken by district police, another minor boy was shot dead in celebratory firing on Thursday.
Police took the body into custody and arrested several persons from the house where a wedding was being hosted. A case was registered against the suspects.
Reportedly, at the wedding ceremony of Javed Abdul Khaliq, a resident of Chak No. 27GB, Jaranwala Road, was under way when his friends fired into the air in celebration.

A boy identified as 10-year-old Shaoor, son of Shahid, was shot and severely injured during the aerial firing.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Rodala police arrested several guests involved in the firing. They also started a search for the groom. Taking notice on the matter, CPO Ghulam Mubashir Mekan demanded a report on the incident from the SP of Jaranwala and ordered the SHOs to arrest the remaining suspects and groom.
