From 'We Are Lady Parts' to 'WandaVision': OKB's favourite shows of 2021

Actor's recommendations demonstrate his fine taste in TV.

As 2021 draws to a close, actor Osman Khalid Butt has done the needful and assembled his favourite shows of the year in a tweet for fans to add to their must-watch list.

The actor assured he did not add any Pakistani show because that would be “too presumptuous,” and we agree. When a user commented, “Okay but who asked?” Butt waved the white flag with a meme stating, “Sick burn, broseph.” His list, however, demonstrates his fine taste in TV and we’re glad to have come across it.

It includes We Are Lady Parts, a British sitcom by Nida Manzoor that follows an eponymous British punk rock band which consists entirely of Muslim women. Succession, the second on Butt’s list, is an American series by Jesse Armstrong that revolves around the dysfunctional owners of a global media and entertainment conglomerate.

WandaVision, a first by Marvel, which shares a continuity with the films of the franchise and taking place after the events of the film Avengers: Endgame, also made it to Butt’s favourites, along with the likes of Squid Game, Maid, What We Do in the Shadows, Hacks, Invincible, The White Lotus, The Great, Arcane, Evil, The Other Two, Mythic Quest and Only Murders in the Building.

When a user asked whether he had watched the Chestnut Man, Butt replied: “No, I saw you recommend it though and it's on my list.” Another pitched Insecure to him and the Baaji actor assured them that he would, right after binge-watching The Expanse.
